Studies are suggesting that young people will have between 12 and 15 jobs in their lifetime so how do you keep a hold of your talent? How do you keep them motivated and engaged with your business and your brand? How do you motivate them to take care of your customers in line with your values? How can you stay in tune to their needs and values as these develop and change with experience and over time, and how can you continue to drive their passion for the events world?

Join us for a strategy led lunch debate and discussion on what we should and need to be doing as industry leaders and leading businesses to establish foundations for young event professionals and the future leaders of the events industry, to maximise potential, ambition and business growth.

Who’s the Host?:

A Commercial Director with global experience specialising in marketing communications and event management, David Preston has lived and worked in the USA, UK, France and worked across Asia. Focused on strategically building businesses and organisations, whether that’s divisions within the corporate environment or small/medium companies needing to go to the next level of maturity, David is full of bright ideas and a senior professional who knows how to handle himself and others. Coming from a traditional corporate background yet with agency experience, flexing from both sides of the fence, he knows how to suit up or to jeans down and bring together strategic creative thinking with proven brand storytelling to lead multi-disciplined teams to deliver their finest work to the best of their ability with passion and motivation.

As CEO at Realise, with the combined experience of COO Richard John in the world of global events and academia, they have bought together the best of both worlds to provide the UK’s first dedicated events and live communications training agency. Initially established to deliver the training and management of the Event Management, Event Assistant Apprenticeship, their aim is to provide employers and employees with structured training plans to continue to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to enable everyone to maximise their Growth, their Ambitions and their Potential.

Where’s the Event?:

Brand Exchange, a contemporary and exclusive private members club in the City of London and home to the soon to be announced eventprofs.exchange, is also the new home and base for all EWL London Chapter events.

Launched in January 2015 to provide its members a private and exclusive space to network and socialise, the club has since held several prestigious events and welcomed many key figures in the marketing and finance sectors as speakers.

Brand Exchange regularly host events for members which include monthly networking drinks, talks and workshops with guest speakers who are leaders in marketing and finance. Their event rooms offer state-of-the-art facilities for events in a rich and characterful setting in the heart of London’s bustling financial centre.
